Well we all know what happens on the first Tuesday in November. That’s right, I go fishing with my brother as the rivers are quiet due to something else happening the same day.
As is our usual form we rushed our gear into the old Land Cruiser with the aim to have a late evening fish on Monday night. We arrive at the upper King River at dusk to find the first hole full of fish. After I bagged a couple of very nice sized trout we decided to move on and set up camp. By the time we pulled up and got the fire going we had caught another nice trout and it was getting cold.
We woke to a cold morning where we kept bagging fish until around 10:30am. This turned out to be a red hot trout session and I didn’t lose a cent on the Melbourne Cup.
The final Score was brother Matt 6 Trout and Me 4 but I had 2 by 2 pounders in the bag with more bragging rights.
